Dr. Wong has always had a strong passion for working with children and families. She holds both a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, a master's degree in counselling, and a bachelor degree in psychology.  Dr. Wong is bilingual in Chinese and English and

 

After completing her master's degree, Dr. Wong gained valuable experience by working in various settings. She initially worked in a youth detention center providing addiction treatment, then at child and youth mental health services, non-profit agencies, and in private practice. She has accumulated around 20 years of experience working with children and families. Her dedication to her profession led her to volunteer abroad in the Philippines, where she supported a team of pediatricians and social workers at a Child Protection Unit at the Philippines General Hospital for over a year.

 

Dr. Wong's interest in psycho-diagnostic assessment sparked her desire to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Following her pre-doctoral internship, she has been providing autism and psychological assessments. She also took a 1-year position at BC Children's Hospital after earning her doctorate, where she provided interventions in the field of medical psychology.
